My baby boy, Seabie. He was born aug. 11, 2004. He is my colbolt blue, peach faced lovebird. Yes, that is an actual species, and yes that is one of the many colors that is available. I got to see him when he was less than a day old, and he was in my room as soon as he got his first down feathers. He is my sweet, loveable baby boy ^.^ This is one of my birds, the other one will be uploaded next.
He's cute x3 I like it when birds fluff their feathers up slightly. It makes them look like they're comfortable with their surroundings. He's a pretty boy.

The only real difference between the two is the rump color. There is also some different genetics involved, but I will avoid going into that.
Dutch blue is a lighter blue color, and colbolt is a darker blue color in the bird mutations. There's also a slight difference in the greens, as the dutch blue has darker greens. ((Hard to see the difference if you don't see them side to side))
It's nice to see someone else with a lovebird on here. I like the name Moonbeam.
Oh, and the only reason I know all of that is because my mom was a breeder for a while, and I learned what I could while she was learning it.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Thanks. Moonbeam is a strange name, most people tell us, but it has suited her well these past 12 years!
Do you think you could tell me is Beamer is a Dutch blue or a Colbalt? Pictures: [link]
